Portfolio Associate Intern
Start Date: Immediate
Location: Hybrid/Remote
Hours: 20 per week
Duration: 3-6 months
Founded in 2020, Simplify Asset Management Inc. is an ETF provider focused on providing financial advisors innovative and sophisticated derivative-based portfolios designed to meet the needs of their clients in an increasingly challenging market environment. With over $6 billion AUM across 30+ ETFs, Simplify is looking for a self-driven and results-oriented individual to join our trading team.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist traders with staging and execution of trades
- Monitor portfolio positions to ensure compliance and exposures are in line with regulatory and prospectus guidelines
- Develop and maintain tools and reports to support portfolio and risk management teams
- Highly self-motivated and adaptable to create value in a fast-growing firm in the ETF industry
- Creative problem solver who can learn on the job and adapt to changing business needs
- Comfortable under pressure and capable of meeting deadlines with a keen eye for detail
- An undergraduate degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Currently enrolled in a Master of Finance/Financial Engineering or MBA program
- Two or more years of relevant industry work experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Proficiency in Python on a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Mentorship from Simplify’s experienced trading and portfolio management teams
- Opportunity to join the firm full-time upon successful completion of internship program

Trade Operations Intern
Start Date: Spring/Summer 2025
Location: Hybrid
Hours: 10-20 per week

What You’ll Do:
- Create, maintain, and execute ad-hoc reports to support operations
- Perform reconciliations and ensure timely trade settlement
- Support margin and collateral reporting
- Highly self-motivated and adaptable to create value in a fast-growing firm in the ETF industry
- Creative problem solver who can learn on the job and adapt to changing business needs
- Comfortable meeting deadlines with a keen eye for detail
- An undergraduate degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Currently enrolled in a Master of Finance/Financial Engineering, Master of Accounting, or MBA program
- Two or more years of relevant industry work experience
- CFA and/or CPA designation or progress/interest towards obtaining designation
- Experience in developing and delivering Excel reporting tools
- At least two years of experience developing and deploying Python on a development team
- Skilled in managing vendor data within a live production environment
- Experience with market data providers such as Bloomberg, Reuters, Ycharts, and Morningstar
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Internal Sales Account Associate
Simplify Asset Management is a newly established ETF issuer and RIA created by a group of accomplished asset management veterans. Our goal is to help advisors tackle the most pressing portfolio challenges with an innovative set of options-based strategies. By accounting for real-world investor needs and market behavior, along with the non-linear power of options, our strategies allow for the tailored portfolio outcomes clients are looking for.
We are looking to hire an Internal Sales Account Manager. The role will focus on developing relationships with RIA and financial advisory firms across the US. We can be flexible on location but have a strong preference for NYC metro based. We are building out our sales team with a smart, motivated, and interesting individuals, who are excited to build something unique, learn a lot, and have fun in the process.
Responsibilities:

Work closely with senior sales team members to drive sales of Simplify’s ETFs within the financial advisory community.

Proactively reach out to advisors via phone and email to engage, assess, and offer solutions

Establish and execute consistent follow up strategy with clients to advance the sales process and deepen advisor relationships.

Establish a high level of consistent, quantifiable client outreach and engagement.
Skills and Qualifications:

Strong understanding of the ETF market and why ETFs will continue to take market share and disrupt the asset management industry.

Existing relationships within the RIA and financial advisor community are a plus.

Bachelor’s degree required (MBA or industry designations CAIA, CFA are a plus).
